Our Nurseries

Bexley Rooms

Green Room – Baby Room – Babies aged 3 months to 2 years

Our baby room is self-contained and caters for all our baby’s needs. Through constant care, bonds, and relationships we create an atmosphere which allows babies to develop and progress at their own pace.

Babies explore a wide range of different sensory and heuristic activities all of which are carefully considered to ensure that they support babies to develop their early skills.

Staff work in partnership with parents and use information from home to learn all about the babies when they first join us. Our baby room staff use this information to interact in a way which ensures that all babies care and experiences are tailored to meet their needs, this helps babies to feel safe and to develop strong bonds.

Blue Room – Toddler Room – Children aged 2 years to 3 years

Our toddler room can hold up to 20 children a day.

Blue room is a large open plan room which provides lots of exciting opportunities for exploring in a nurturing and happy environment.

Our day is based on ‘In the moment’ planning, where the children create their own play and experiences. This allows the key person to extend activities and play sessions to support their interests and development.

In blue room our dedicated staff work in partnership with our parents to encourage the children to transition from nappies to the potty/toilet by following the children’s needs and expressions.

We provide a range of activities throughout the day, including messy play, construction, dressing up, role play and open-ended resources. These experiences help to support children’s developing social skills, independence, and communication. As well as providing children with opportunities to learn about the world around them and prepare them for future adventures.

We like to extend our interests from our indoor environment to our outdoor spaces.

Pink Room – Pre-school – Children aged 3 years to school age

Our preschool can hold up to 16 children a day and staff focus on and promote children’s individual skills to help prepare them for the move to school.

Our dedicated and passionate staff are committed to providing a warm environment were children feel happy and secure. Staff offer a variety of learning resources to help children to make friends, become confident communicators and develop their independence.

In pre-school we continue the ‘in the moment’ planning and focus on extending children’s real experiences to introduce new ideas, extend interests and promote a love of learning.

When children are ready to leave us to go off to Reception, we invite teachers to visit and complete a report which assists in the transition to ‘Big’ school.

Outside Environment

Bubbles Bexley has two enclosed outside spaces, both of which are skilfully used to enhance children’s development and further support those children who learn best in the outside environment.

Our garden provides lots of opportunities for children enjoy energetic adventures. Children can run, climb, jump, all of which promote their motor skills and physical development.

There is lots of room for children to explore materials, have ‘quiet time’ and/or plant some seeds.

Our forest school is a separate small area which allows children to learn about the world and nature. Staff tailor experiences to enable children to use a different set of skills when exploring this outside, natural space.
